A collision led to Liverpool FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Miika Vihtilä hit a great ball. Tomi Pihlman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halfdan Wøldike in the 22nd minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Halfdan Wøldike had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomi Pihlman. Liverpool FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Halfdan Wøldike was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Iikka Haapaniemi got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Halfdan Wøldike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tomi Pihlman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aleksander Thalbitzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iikka Haapaniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ilmo Kaven to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Vilfred Bornkessel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmkjar Hotspurs and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Liverpool FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Holmkjar Hotspurs's performance. The match ended with a win for Holmkjar Hotspurs.
