Tomi Pihlman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Jones in the 3rd minute of the match. Shane Steadman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuukka Liimatainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 7th match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Holmes to maneuver through the defense. Ilmo Kaven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute Tuukka Liimatainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Steadman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shane Steadman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ilmo Kaven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shane Steadman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Shane Steadman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tuukka Liimatainen went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 47 minutes of play, Liverpool FC's Tuukka Liimatainen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shane Steadman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ilmo Kaven made a kick off. Liverpool FC's Tomi Pihlman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louie Barfield in the 53rd minute of play. Garlic Eaters were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Liverpool FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Louie Barfield took the corner. Louie Barfield made a great header on Garlic Eaters's corner, it was just that Liverpool FC's Tomi Pihlman managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilmo Kaven in the 59th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Shane Steadman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shane Steadman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iikka Haapaniemi in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilmo Kaven in the 76th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Shane Steadman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Holmes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Tuukka Liimatainen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Shane Steadman made a huge save. Ilmo Kaven's late challenge caught a Garlic Eaters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ilmo Kaven helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Ilmo Kaven. Tomi Pihlman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomi Pihlman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Barfield in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Tod Jones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomi Pihlman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Liverpool FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
