In the 5th minute, Adalbert Gniech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andy Findley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieter Kapelle in the 8th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Larry Hallam. In the 17th minute, Jeremy Coombe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yves Marquart was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Eitel Sebastian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andy Findley was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Dieter Kapelle dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andy Findley, 2-1. After 31 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremy Coombe. Eitel Sebastian hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Yves Marquart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Purkiss, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Yves Marquart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Purkiss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camron Ashby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yves Marquart having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albert Purkiss was the one to do the kick off. Andy Findley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Berland in the 69th minute of play. TSV Delliehausen's Yves Marquart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Morse in the 74th minute of play. Denzil Leighton kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ampthill FC's Jeremy Coombe got a free kick in the 88th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Milenko Antermann during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when TSV Delliehausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milenko Antermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd match minute, TSV Delliehausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmar Brink to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Ashby in the 95th minute of play forced TSV Delliehausen's goalkeeper Yves Marquart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TSV Delliehausen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ampthill FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
