Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Johannes Grünberger charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Grünberger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd match minute, FC 08 Brühl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Grünberger to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Edžus Prenas in the 3rd minute really tested Damir Heuchel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Black horses booed when FC 08 Brühl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Grünberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ilmārs Barčas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Black horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilmārs Barčas couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes, Vitolds Upīte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black horses and the FC 08 Brühl players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Vitolds Upīte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilmārs Barčas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ainārs Dublis came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by FC 08 Brühl's Rodrigo Schliemann. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Schliemann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Boppo Forbrig kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Black horses's Edžus Prenas tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, FC 08 Brühl's goal looked a bit too open when Kurts Skripals came free, but Damir Heuchel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, FC 08 Brühl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Melkis to maneuver through the defense. Brencis Tanbergs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damir Heuchel having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Kurts Skripals cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Damir Heuchel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 43 minutes, Vladislavs Jaunums mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black horses and the FC 08 Brühl players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes, FC 08 Brühl's Boppo Forbrig shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ainārs Dublis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC 08 Brühl reached it. Brencis Tanbergs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Damir Heuchel made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kurts Skripals to strike the kick off in the second half. Damir Heuchel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurts Skripals in the 53rd minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Black horses's Brencis Tanbergs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damir Heuchel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kurts Skripals sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilmārs Barčas in the 64th minute of play forced FC 08 Brühl's goalkeeper Damir Heuchel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damir Heuchel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krišs Ķimene, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Heribert Kimpel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC 08 Brühl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black horses the free kick. Ainārs Dublis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Schliemann in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, FC 08 Brühl's goal looked a bit too open when Kurts Skripals came free, but Damir Heuchel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damir Heuchel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurts Skripals in the 80th minute of play. Ainārs Dublis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kilian Böhme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, FC 08 Brühl's goal looked a bit too open when Ilmārs Barčas came free, but Damir Heuchel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
