In the 34th minute of the match Barhan Barrett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ralf Hudson skillfully saved the ball. Healey Harkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Platt in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brasil Deery to maneuver through the defense. The 1948 MKS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ampthill FC were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eoghan Barrett was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Jamie Kemp. A collision led to Ampthill FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Albert Christensen hit a great ball. Ampthill FC's Ralf Hudson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eoghan Barrett in the 63rd minute of play. Healey Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Christensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Brain McBjarton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1948 MKS! When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Ampthill FC's Albert Christensen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Healey Harkin. Jeremy Coombe kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Eoghan Barrett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-4. Ralf Hudson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, 1948 MKS's Healey Harkin got control of the ball when Johnathan Morse tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to 1948 MKS getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Timmons McTommy hit a great ball. 1948 MKS's Healey Harkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save 1948 MKS from getting a goal against them.
