Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) After 6 minutes of play, Ampthill FC's Roger Platt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konrāds Svabinskis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute, Roger Platt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ampthill FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Konrāds Svabinskis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barry Poynton went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Konrāds Svabinskis came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ampthill FC's Johnathan Morse. But to his dismay, Johnathan Morse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 24th minute Barry Poynton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrāds Svabinskis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Uvis Evjānis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Larry Hallam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ampthill FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GAUJA the free kick. The supporters of GAUJA booed when Ampthill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Hallam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konrāds Svabinskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathan Morse in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Barry Poynton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Ozzy Etherington. 37 minutes into the match, GAUJA's Gints Strelkovs-Mazila broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Johnathan Morse notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of GAUJA's Konrāds Svabinskis. Konrāds Svabinskis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ampthill FC's Barry Poynton got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ampthill FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ozzy Etherington hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klāvs Kadis to make the kick off. Gints Strelkovs-Mazila kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes in the game, Barry Poynton dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Barry Poynton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, one of GAUJA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GAUJA. Konrāds Svabinskis made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Roger Platt sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, Roger Platt made a precise shot to the right of Konrāds Svabinskis. GAUJA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roger Platt got free with Konrāds Svabinskis in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roger Platt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Konrāds Svabinskis came out and tried to block the shot, but Roger Platt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 78th minute. 83 minutes into the match, GAUJA's goalkeeper Konrāds Svabinskis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Platt. With a little luck, GAUJA's Konrāds Svabinskis got control of the ball when Johnathan Morse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Klāvs Kadis scored 1-8 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ralf Hudson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The GAUJA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ampthill FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
