Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rūtenis Sartauskas kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmons McTommy to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Vėjas Abakevičius put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of FC Žalia Giria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 1948 MKS:s goal. In the 15th minute Eoghan Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linas Žvigaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Eoghan Barrett recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Linas Žvigaitis. Eoghan Barrett showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. FC Žalia Giria's Linas Žvigaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eoghan Barrett in the 27th minute of play. 1948 MKS's Eoghan Barrett was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Žalia Giria's zone, Timmons McTommy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Linas Žvigaitis came out of the goal and Timmons McTommy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eoghan Barrett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Linas Žvigaitis made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's Bowie Scully sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Linas Žvigaitis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Linas Žvigaitis made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Eoghan Barrett sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eoghan Barrett made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eoghan Barrett in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Linas Žvigaitis saved FC Žalia Giria from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eoghan Barrett in the 54th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Linas Žvigaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linas Žvigaitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick McPhil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Eoghan Barrett put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Linas Žvigaitis. Eoghan Barrett scored 5-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Linas Žvigaitis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Linas Žvigaitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoghan Barrett in the 68th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Eoghan Barrett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Linas Žvigaitis was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Linas Žvigaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick McPhil in the 71st minute of play. Linas Žvigaitis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eoghan Barrett's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. FC Žalia Giria's Linas Žvigaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eoghan Barrett in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Eoghan Barrett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Linas Žvigaitis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Linas Žvigaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick McPhil, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 89th minute 1948 MKS were awarded a corner. Barhan Barrett went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led 1948 MKS's Patrick McPhil to fire away a dangerous shot which Linas Žvigaitis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rūtenis Sartauskas struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Healey Harkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Žalia Giria. 1948 MKS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
