Niels Willendrup made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Kasper Munkvold sent off a good shot on target. Brufoss IL's Ludvig Lunden got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Kristian Ingels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Randers A.F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Randers A.F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kasper Munkvold was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Niels Willendrup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odin Huse in the 77th minute of the match. Kaj Rubaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Molland having to interfere. With a little luck, Brufoss IL's Philip Molland got control of the ball when Kaj Rubaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brufoss IL's Philip Molland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Ingels in the 83rd minute of play. Niels Willendrup breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Randers A.F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
