Sydney FC's Florian Guderian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Dærup in the 3rd minute of play. Kaspar Thabo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Guderian having to interfere. Ernst Schnur kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Florian Guderian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Dærup, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Rikardt Kjeldsvig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kees Plappert in the 11th minute. In the 12th match minute, Strib Galacticos IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walther Mackeprang to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Dærup might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florian Guderian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred Dærup ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Sydney FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Strib Galacticos IF:s goal. After 40 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Heidemann. 42 minutes into the match, Alfred Dærup had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florian Guderian. Sydney FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Dærup was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 45 played minutes Strib Galacticos IF got a freekick which was hit by Robin Hagensted. Rikardt Kjeldsvig made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Kees Plappert sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kees Plappert to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Terkild Svarte came free, but Florian Guderian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Guderian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Dærup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Strib Galacticos IF getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Terkild Svarte hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes, Sydney FC's Nat Schmitt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rikardt Kjeldsvig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sydney FC reached it. A collision led to Strib Galacticos IF getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Robin Hagensted hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes Strib Galacticos IF's Robin Hagensted stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Florian Guderian stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Sydney FC of the goal. Kees Plappert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Kaspar Thabo managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Sydney FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Strib Galacticos IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Strib Galacticos IF.
