Spectators: 173 (Terracing: 130, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Morten Hestad kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Hoberg United getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Calle Vidø hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkon Mylliin in the 9th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Runar Støen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knut Grevad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Gjessing in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petter Vartdal to maneuver through the defense. Calle Vidø hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Morten Hestad struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Knut Grevad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åsnes. Runar Støen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oluf Stensvang in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Hoberg United's goal looked a bit too open when Morten Hestad came free, but Knut Grevad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Rune Gjessing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Grevad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Klaes Nirvana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 minutes of play, Åsnes's Rune Gjessing made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Knut Grevad was left in no man's land by his defense there! Morten Hestad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Åsnes's Kristian Sandersen in 45 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Knut Grevad guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Håkon Mylliin made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Petter Vartdal got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Håkon Mylliin came free, but Runar Støen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Morten Hestad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Knut Grevad was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Hoberg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oluf Stensvang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Hoberg United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Morten Hestad fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Sandersen in the 67th minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Knut Grevad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teddi Engbøl was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jonatan Lagrolet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Runar Støen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Oluf Stensvang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hoberg United's Knut Grevad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Hoberg United from getting a goal against them. After 81 played minutes Hoberg United got a freekick which was hit by Jokum Jering. Knut Grevad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morten Hestad in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Hoberg United's Knut Grevad got control of the ball when Rune Gjessing tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Sandersen in the 88th minute of play forced Hoberg United's goalkeeper Knut Grevad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knut Grevad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Gjessing in the 89th minute of the match. The Åsnes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Åsnes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
