When Merten Belzner fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Give Peace a Chance's protests and gave Merten Belzner a yellow card for diving instead. Merten Belzner hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Benjamin Schumacher fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Give Peace a Chance's protests and gave Benjamin Schumacher a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Schumacher. Albo Veiser's late challenge caught a Åsnes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albo Veiser helped the player get up and apologised. Albo Veiser hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The long shot by Merten Belzner in the 17th minute really tested Runar Støen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Benjamin Schumacher came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Give Peace a Chance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Schumacher couldn't finish the play. After 25 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by Merten Belzner. After 26 played minutes, Åsnes's Kristian Sandersen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moritz Weidt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Åsnes reached it. Moritz Weidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Gjessing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Vartdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Runar Støen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedrich Hester in the 35th minute of play. Moritz Weidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Gjessing, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rune Gjessing scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moritz Weidt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hansjörg Daniel during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Jeff Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard and well directed shot from Kristian Sandersen led 48 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Give Peace a Chance's Moritz Weidt became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Edgard Leirvåg made the kick off in the second half. Runar Støen came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Give Peace a Chance's Caspar Dronia. But to his dismay, Caspar Dronia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Runar Støen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hansjörg Daniel in the 56th minute of the match. Runar Støen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Friedrich Hester went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristian Sandersen in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moritz Weidt saved Give Peace a Chance from getting behind. Petter Vartdal hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Gjessing in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moritz Weidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Give Peace a Chance's Moritz Weidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Leirvåg in the 77th minute of play. Hansjörg Daniel scored 3-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Runar Støen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petter Vartdal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Moritz Weidt made a huge save. Runar Støen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merten Belzner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Kristian Sandersen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by Klaus-Dieter Stötzer. For all the effort they put into the match, the Åsnes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Give Peace a Chance.
