The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Skellerup FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Fur in the 11th minute of play forced Daustad's goalkeeper Alfred Isachsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Skellerup FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Sundnes came free, but Ejvin Møllekær reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Kent Helsgaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skellerup FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daustad the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Skellerup FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Helsgaard to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Tord Sundnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ejvin Møllekær was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tord Sundnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Harry Bergø's late challenge caught a Daustad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
