Academica Pulheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Egg Chasers FC the free kick. The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Zintl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Selby took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alvo Kobe. Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gunther Daun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Ricky Rowe made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Sebastian Selby got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 14 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Zintl. Alvo Kobe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Selby in the 14th minute of play. During the 16th minute of the match Dominik Zintl completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dominik Zintl a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 15th minute, one of Academica Pulheim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Academica Pulheim. Alvo Kobe had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Sebastian Selby's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Chesney Wooding fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Egg Chasers FC's protests and gave Chesney Wooding a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the game, Karsten Oppmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 24th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Oppmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Byron Radcliffe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvo Kobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Aldridge in the 32nd minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Alvo Kobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Rex Aldridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvo Kobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barnabas Rogge charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barnabas Rogge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rex Aldridge was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Thilo Haupt got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute of the match, Rex Aldridge tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alvo Kobe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Jay Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rex Aldridge came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Egg Chasers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rex Aldridge couldn't finish the play. Barnabas Rogge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Hadrian Greilinger replaced Kevin Meißel. Alvo Kobe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Mullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Jay Mullen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Alvo Kobe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Alvo Kobe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jay Mullen. Academica Pulheim's Alvo Kobe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them. Egg Chasers FC's Ricky Rowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnabas Rogge in the 80th minute of play. Rex Aldridge did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Alvo Kobe 84 minutes into the match. Jay Mullen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Alvo Kobe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thilo Haupt hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Aldridge came free, but Alvo Kobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnd Freye kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Academica Pulheim supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Egg Chasers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Egg Chasers FC.
