Spectators: 207 (Terracing: 156, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Heimko Schober started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Kev Higgins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the game, Bruce Pesch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thomas Mitchell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the game, one of Harchester United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bruce Pesch placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 14thth minute of the game Batho König who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Harchester United's Thomas Mitchell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Harchester United's Kev Higgins in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 34th minute Johnny Buckley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sönke Odenwälder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Patrick Osterhagen got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Les Cooke sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sönke Odenwälder skillfully saved the ball. Sönke Odenwälder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Schofield in the 43rd minute of the match. Kev Higgins had several of the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Sönke Odenwälder as he didn't even see the shot coming. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marty Schofield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Maximilian Stößlein got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Sönke Odenwälder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kev Higgins's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Kev Higgins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Sönke Odenwälder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
