West Staines Massive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC LIVERPOOL the free kick. After a rather tough play, West Staines Massive's Raimund Lips got a free kick in the 37th minute. Patrick Oliver Veith was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Harvey Bonds. Patrick Oliver Veith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Tolley, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of West Staines Massive:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC LIVERPOOL:s goal. Patrick Oliver Veith had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Phil Tolley's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 43 minutes into the match Phil Tolley came totally free in front of West Staines Massive's goalkeeper and smashed the ball just inside the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eberhard Romstedt to make the kick off. Patrick Oliver Veith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Bignot, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The West Staines Massive fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Oliver Veith should have stopped the shot. FC LIVERPOOL made a substitution. Jeff Battersby replaced Rupert Hawkins.
