Martyn Patten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Schofield in the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Kev Higgins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kev Higgins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martyn Patten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the game, Marty Schofield cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Martyn Patten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Manchester United F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Harchester United were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronnie Howard made a kick off. Dennis Chegwyn charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Chegwyn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when Harchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kev Higgins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marty Schofield charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marty Schofield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martyn Patten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kev Higgins got free with Martyn Patten in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaac Morgan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Harchester United played a much better game than Manchester United F.C. and deserved their victory. The Manchester United F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
