Erich Kellner kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Patrick Oliver Veith came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Maximilian Stößlein. But to his dismay, Maximilian Stößlein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Haas in the 11th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Michelsen came free, but Sönke Odenwälder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heimko Schober in the 15th minute of play forced West Staines Massive's goalkeeper Patrick Oliver Veith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. West Staines Massive's Hubert Michelsen got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sönke Odenwälder made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Eberhard Romstedt sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eberhard Romstedt got free with Sönke Odenwälder in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, West Staines Massive's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Osterhagen came free, but Patrick Oliver Veith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Osterhagen hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Sönke Odenwälder got control of the ball when Eberhard Romstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Peter Jüttner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Staines Massive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. the free kick. In the 40th minute, Peter Jüttner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Maximilian Stößlein shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patrick Oliver Veith came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Patrick Oliver Veith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batho König, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Bruce Pesch could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Patrick Oliver Veith however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Patrick Osterhagen hit a great ball. If Eberhard Romstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrick Oliver Veith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heimko Schober in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, West Staines Massive's goalkeeper Patrick Oliver Veith had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Pesch. In the 79th minute, Eberhard Romstedt made a precise shot to the right of Sönke Odenwälder. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heimko Schober in the 92nd minute of play forced West Staines Massive's goalkeeper Patrick Oliver Veith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Bruce Pesch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Oliver Veith. That made the score 1-3 after 93 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, West Staines Massive's Gunther Wortmann got a free kick in the 96th minute.
