The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vladimir Putin hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes of play, Drafi's Ntinos Ioannidis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jakov Urgovski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Drafi's Babbis Petroutsos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stamen Bejko in the 31st minute of play. With his leg Jakov Urgovski managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Drafi's Tasos Kavvadias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 34 played minutes GFK Osogovo got a freekick which was hit by Natanail Georgijevski. Jakov Urgovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sakis Korakis in the 35th minute. Tasos Kavvadias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jakov Urgovski made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Drafi's Ntinos Ioannidis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teofil Pavlovski to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, GFK Osogovo's goal looked a bit too open when Tasos Kavvadias came free, but Jakov Urgovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ntinos Ioannidis in the 60th minute of play forced GFK Osogovo's goalkeeper Jakov Urgovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes, Drafi's Sakis Korakis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jakov Urgovski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drafi reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Tasos Kavvadias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drafi's supporters rose to their feet, but Tasos Kavvadias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakov Urgovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
