Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anthony Pietrantoni took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Thanasis Rizos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dave Falcioni was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Vaggelis Tsigounakis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dave Falcioni. Vaggelis Tsigounakis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanasis Rizos in the 17th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 19th minute of the match Alvise Carnevale completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alvise Carnevale a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when Burnley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Carnevale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tasos Karypidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dave Falcioni made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonello Pocobello during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Burnley FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Pocobello. If Vaggelis Tsigounakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Burnley FC's Aurelio Belardi got a free kick in the 29th minute. Burnley FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Thanasis Rizos scored to the left of an out of position Dave Falcioni, making the score, 2-1. In the 36th minute, ERGOTELIS's Vaggelis Tsigounakis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. After 47 minutes, Anthony Pietrantoni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burnley FC and the ERGOTELIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Anthony Pietrantoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vaggelis Tsigounakis to make the kick off. Vaggelis Tsigounakis's late challenge caught a Burnley FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vaggelis Tsigounakis helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes ERGOTELIS got a freekick which was hit by Vaggelis Tsigounakis. Thomas Theocharis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute Nikos Kontosoros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlo Loreto during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Burnley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Loreto to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Theocharis came free, but Dave Falcioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Thanasis Rizos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, ERGOTELIS's Thanasis Rizos made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Falcioni was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dave Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaggelis Tsigounakis in the 78th minute of play. Tasos Karypidis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The long shot by Anthony Pietrantoni in the 80th minute really tested Panagiotis Kastanis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaggelis Tsigounakis in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kontosoros in the 88th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Belardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Panagiotis Kastanis made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, Sakis Sotirakos notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni. Dave Falcioni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ERGOTELIS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
