The audience thought a goal was coming when Giotis Tsalikis got free with Vladimiros Manouselis in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC INTERNAZIONALE MILANO getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Anestis Blatsiotis hit a great ball. If Diogenis Kostiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiros Manouselis made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Giotis Tsalikis sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, Diogenis Kostiadis made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiros Manouselis. FC INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Giorgos Petras scored 2-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iordanis Batsidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giorgos Petras kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Giotis Tsalikis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Vladimiros Manouselis made a huge save. Giotis Tsalikis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimiros Manouselis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Charis Chaniotakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimiros Manouselis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

58 minutes into the match, Charis Chaniotakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladimiros Manouselis. FC INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charis Chaniotakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
