After some careless play in the Amfithea Hotspur defense, Prodromos Banasopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Babbis Theocharis. The Amfithea Hotspur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Babbis Theocharis should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Chatzidis came free, but Miltos Kyriazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Amfithea Hotspur's goal looked a bit too open when Giotis Papagiannis came free, but Babbis Theocharis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omiros Argyriou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Babbis Theocharis. Amfithea Hotspur's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amfithea Hotspur's Babbis Theocharis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prodromos Banasopoulos in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half AEK S.C were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Chrisostomos Charoulis charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chrisostomos Charoulis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Amfithea Hotspur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chrisostomos Charoulis to maneuver through the defense. Prodromos Banasopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Babbis Theocharis made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Chatzidis came free, but Miltos Kyriazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miltos Kyriazis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alekos Kassanos in the 67th minute of play. If Prodromos Banasopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Alekos Kassanos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miltos Kyriazis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Amfithea Hotspur's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
