Pap FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Acilia Town booed when Pap FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerasimos Mezonetas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Aurelio Mameli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acilia Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Mameli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Pap FC defense, Diego Rava kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimitris Philipopoulos. The Pap FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitris Philipopoulos should have stopped the shot. Giannis Bakalakoss short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Damiano Castagna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dimitris Philipopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Rava in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Acilia Town booed when Pap FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odysseas Christodoulakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Diego Rava made a precise shot to the right of Dimitris Philipopoulos. Pap FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 42 minutes into the game, Armando Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Dimitris Philipopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Acilia Town's Diego Rava got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitris Philipopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Rava in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Bakalakos to make the kick off. Dimitris Philipopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Cirelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pap FC's Odysseas Christodoulakis got a free kick in the 56th minute. Diego Rava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Philipopoulos having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giannis Bakalakos during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dimitris Philipopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Villa in the 68th minute of the match. Dimitris Philipopoulos came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Acilia Town's Diego Rava. But to his dismay, Diego Rava quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Pap FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Armando Villa 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-8. Damiano Castagna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 94 minutes, Armando Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acilia Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dimitris Philipopoulos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Rava went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-9 was the resulting score. Acilia Town's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
