Gerasimos Mezonetas kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Pap FC's Dimitris Philipopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Argyrakos in the 4th minute of play. Dimitris Philipopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fanis Torosidis in the 5th minute of the match. Eugenios Schinas hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Giannis Zacharatos hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Dimitris Philipopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omiros Argyriou in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Miltos Argyrakos hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Andreas Sapounakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pap FC were furious when Konstantinos Vrachnos was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 28th minute, one of Pap FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pap FC. Dimitris Philipopoulos went to the wrong direction when Omiros Argyriou was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Eugenios Schinas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pap FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK S.C the free kick. Andreas Sapounakis charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Sapounakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andreas Sapounakis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Omiros Argyriou, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dimitris Philipopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prodromos Banasopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prodromos Banasopoulos came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dimitris Philipopoulos could save by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Dimitris Philipopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giotis Papagiannis's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After 53 minutes of play, AEK S.C's Sakis Manousos made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitris Philipopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sakis Manousos in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitris Philipopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dimitris Philipopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prodromos Banasopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dimitris Philipopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sakis Manousos in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Argyrakos in the 67th minute of play forced Pap FC's goalkeeper Dimitris Philipopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Sakis Manousos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Philipopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitris Philipopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prodromos Banasopoulos in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sakis Manousos in the 74th minute of play forced Pap FC's goalkeeper Dimitris Philipopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ntinos Adamakoglou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Miltos Kyriazis made a huge save. Miltos Kyriazis was a little too slow when Eugenios Schinas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sakis Manousos in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitris Philipopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the game, Prodromos Banasopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Dimitris Philipopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AEK S.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
