Dave Ottaviani hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Degiorgio in the 8th minute of play forced Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Filippo Punta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Peter Degiorgio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Punta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute Peter Degiorgio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Punta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Carloforte f.c.'s Dino Di Nucci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dylan Pizzuto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Federico Fabrizi hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Federico Fabrizi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dylan Pizzuto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Degiorgio. Dylan Pizzuto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Di Nucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Dino Di Nucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Pizzuto having to interfere. Filippo Punta came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Peter Degiorgio. But to his dismay, Peter Degiorgio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Templars FC's Peppino Azzopardi got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filippo Punta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Degiorgio's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Peter Degiorgio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Filippo Punta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdinando Carosella to make the kick off. When Dino Di Nucci came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Carloforte f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Di Nucci couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinando Carosella during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ferdinando Carosella kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Peppino Azzopardis short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Filippo Punta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carloforte f.c.'s Ferruccio De Leonardis was substituted for Alessandro Angelucci. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Noel Cesare got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Peter Degiorgio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Degiorgio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Degiorgio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 70th playminute. During the 74th minute of the match Ferdinando Carosella completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ferdinando Carosella a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Filippo Punta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Degiorgio in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Peter Degiorgio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Filippo Punta was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dino Di Nucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dylan Pizzuto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carloforte f.c.'s Filippo Punta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Carloforte f.c. from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Federico Fabrizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Cesare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Punta having to interfere. With a little luck, Carloforte f.c.'s Filippo Punta got control of the ball when Peter Degiorgio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Templars FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
