Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dennis Tozzi started the match with the kick off. Roberto Teuma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, Ercole Ceresoli notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Floriana Celtics's Robert Zarb. Robert Zarb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dennis Tozzi scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Zarb, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robert Zarb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Tozzi in the 17th minute of the match. CA Boca Jrs's Dennis Tozzi got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Floriana Celtics getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Darren Cortis hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Dylan Testaferrata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrizio Costacurta charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabrizio Costacurta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Costacurta. In the 31st minute, Michele Saliba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the CA Boca Jrs defense, Roberto Teuma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuele Guaita. The CA Boca Jrs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuele Guaita should have stopped the shot. Emanuele Guaita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Sacco in the 38th minute. Robert Zarb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Mirto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Antonio Chetcuti was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The Floriana Celtics players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CA Boca Jrs were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Roberto Teuma made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Ceresoli came free, but Robert Zarb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Floriana Celtics's Robert Zarb got control of the ball when Ercole Ceresoli tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Darren Cortis put in a rough tackle. 76 minutes into the match, Diego Tamburrini sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Robert Zarb threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Diego Tamburrini this time. After 78 minutes, Diego Tamburrini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Boca Jrs and the Floriana Celtics players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes CA Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Diego Tamburrini. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Tozzi got free with Robert Zarb in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Floriana Celtics's Robert Zarb proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CA Boca Jrs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
