Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noël Saliou in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Pizziolo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st play minute Philippe Wartel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Antonio Pizziolo. 2-3. Antonio Pizziolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noël Saliou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davide Flammini made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philippe Wartel in the 54th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Antonio Pizziolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Green Madness were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Lunatics of Arianrhod's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Noël Saliou took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrice Béziat during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
