The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Green Madness's goalkeeper Ahmid Hervier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francesco Restaino. The crowd rose to their feet as Coriano FC's Francesco Restaino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ahmid Hervier. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. In the 16th minute Philippe Wartel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Cara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmid Hervier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filippo Andreola went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Dino Cara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe Wartel in the 24th minute of play. Noël Saliou struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Dino Cara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Madness. When Coriano FC's Filippo Andreola in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Green Madness's protests and gave Georges Piguet a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Green Madness's Georges Piguet got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

A hard shot 51 in the game by Philippe Wartel from a close distance when the talented Dino Cara managed to make a qualified save. Coriano FC's players were relieved. Green Madness's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noël Saliou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Noël Saliou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Cara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Coriano FC had played much better football throughout.
