Concetto Vianello kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Emilio Felicetti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Errikos Gerokostas. Emilio Felicetti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Panos Kyriazis struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Carter Di Nino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Horses. In the 13th minute, Christodoulos Symeonas made a precise shot to the right of Carter Di Nino. S.S.C. NAPOLI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 22 minutes into the game, Avraam Liakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Green Horses's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.S.C. NAPOLI the free kick. After 22 played minutes Green Horses got a freekick which was hit by Avraam Liakos. Armando Barone succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 25th playminute. 28 minutes into the game, Emilio Felicetti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Errikos Gerokostas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Errikos Gerokostas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Barone in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.S.C. NAPOLI's zone, Christodoulos Symeonas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carter Di Nino came out of the goal and Christodoulos Symeonas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Green Horses's Errikos Gerokostas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Barone in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Veniamin Zapropoulos in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carter Di Nino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, Green Horses's goalkeeper Errikos Gerokostas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Felicetti. If Armando Barone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Odysseas Mentis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christodoulos Symeonas to strike the kick off in the second half. Carter Di Nino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christodoulos Symeonas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Emilio Felicetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Errikos Gerokostas was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The supporters of S.S.C. NAPOLI booed when Green Horses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Periklis Zorbadelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Barone shot a long shot in the 62nd minute and a light blocked Errikos Gerokostas hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 6-1. In the 66th minute Armando Barone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Errikos Gerokostas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalie Carter Di Nino was quick on his feet when Christodoulos Symeonas aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. In the 71st minute Emilio Felicetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Errikos Gerokostas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carter Di Nino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christodoulos Symeonas in the 72nd minute of the match. Panos Kyriazis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Veniamin Zapropoulos took a quick shot and it went in 6-2 without a chance for Carter Di Nino to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute, Christodoulos Symeonas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green Horses fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-3. 90 minutes into the match, Green Horses's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Barone came free, but Errikos Gerokostas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94thth minute of the game Christodoulos Symeonas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.S.C. NAPOLI's Carter Di Nino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frank Carlucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Gerokostas having to interfere.
