Antonello Garibaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Medoacus Maior's Flavio Corrente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Bertsis in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Medoacus Maior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Garibaldi to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Colecchia came free, but Theofanis Tseberlidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Camillo Colecchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Medoacus Maior's Camillo Colecchia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theofanis Tseberlidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 35th minute Camillo Colecchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theofanis Tseberlidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Medoacus Maior's Cristoforo Barbanti got a free kick in the 40th minute. Theofanis Tseberlidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camillo Colecchia's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The GREEN LIONS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Medoacus Maior were winning 0-3.

Medoacus Maior's Alessio Caligaris was substituted for Fabrizio Piccirilli. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camillo Colecchia to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Theofanis Tseberlidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camillo Colecchia. Medoacus Maior's Flavio Corrente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Bertsis in the 62nd minute of play. Theofanis Tseberlidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Nicolai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Medoacus Maior's Franco Nicolai, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Medoacus Maior. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Grigoris Bertsis hit a great ball. Flavio Corrente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Seremetiadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Camillo Colecchia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Theofanis Tseberlidis. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Carlo Di Blasio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Seremetiadis in the 88th minute of play forced Medoacus Maior's goalkeeper Flavio Corrente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camillo Colecchias short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Theofanis Tseberlidis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Camillo Colecchia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Theofanis Tseberlidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Medoacus Maior had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
