Nikos Lazaridis hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Lambros Karpodinis scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alkis Kalaboukas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot by Markos Triantafyllou from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Spyros Panagiotas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alkis Kalaboukas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lambros Karpodinis went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lambros Karpodinis in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alkis Kalaboukas saved GREEK ARMY from getting behind. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Alkis Kalaboukas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alkis Kalaboukas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambros Karpodinis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iraklis Seretis charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iraklis Seretis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Iraklis Seretis hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Lambros Karpodinis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kolopetinitsa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Alkis Kalaboukas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lambros Karpodinis's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panos Athanasiadis to make the kick off. Kolopetinitsa's Lambros Karpodinis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 51st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Markos Triantafyllou during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kolopetinitsa booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markos Triantafyllou didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Trifon Pantelakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkis Kalaboukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Alkis Kalaboukas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Konstantinos Kazantzis. In the 65th minute Panos Athanasiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spyros Panagiotas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panos Athanasiadis struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Spyros Panagiotas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GREEK ARMY. Lambros Karpodinis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lambros Karpodinis in the 88th minute of play forced GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Alkis Kalaboukas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Diogenis Kastras in the 92nd minute really tested Alkis Kalaboukas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 93rd minute, Lambros Karpodinis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alkis Kalaboukas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5.
