Manos Papaiakovou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Mugnier, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. One of Go Ahead Eagles:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elegance Dijon:s goal. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Elegance Dijon. Martial Mugnier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Manos Papaiakovou. 0-6. A collision led to Elegance Dijon getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Émeric Boully hit a great ball. Yohann Pierlot's late challenge caught a Go Ahead Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yohann Pierlot helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Elegance Dijon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yohann Pierlot didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elegance Dijon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
