Takis Lazakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Minas Pedoulakis in the 5th minute of play. Takis Lazakis made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Makis Kois sent off a good shot on target. Miltos Tokalidis kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Makis Kois managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabachana F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Makis Kois was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tilemachos Manouselis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babbis Megalios in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Stefanos Melopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheriff's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabachana F.C. the free kick. Stefanos Melopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Alexandros Karapetros fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tabachana F.C.'s protests and gave Alexandros Karapetros a yellow card for diving instead. Takis Lazakis made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Minas Pedoulakis sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute Babbis Megalios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tilemachos Manouselis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Alkinoos Tachmatzidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Babbis Megalios charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Babbis Megalios made a kick off. Akis Vasilakopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Lazakis having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sheriff's Babbis Megalios slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tilemachos Manouselis. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Sheriff's Miltos Tokalidis got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Makis Kois might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Takis Lazakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
