When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Batiste Eynard to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Steevy Blondelle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Messager was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Lyon 69ers booed when Roncourt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Pierre Riche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antoine Gambier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Hercule Hecht made a huge save. 82 minutes into the game, Lyon 69ers's Joey Philip nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Messager made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Roncourt's Sylvain Zettor got a free kick in the 85th minute. Roncourt's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
