Santoryu FC's Camillo Marcantonio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Santoryu FC from getting a goal against them. Emiliano Baldassarre's late challenge caught a R.C. Marseille's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Baldassarre helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Santoryu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Baldassarre to maneuver through the defense. Omar Suchet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Camillo Marcantonio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Santoryu FC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyril Bec didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Fernand Savarit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. R.C. Marseille's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santoryu FC the free kick. The supporters of Santoryu FC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernand Savarit didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Blaise Castera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Santoryu FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Anselmo Gabriele hit a great ball. Thomas Gascon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Gabriele's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The Santoryu FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Santoryu FC's Anselmo Gabriele looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Anselmo Gabriele got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's Omar Suchet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camillo Marcantonio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Omar Suchet hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Eugenio Bozzo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Gascon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thomas Gascon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Gabriele, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Gabriele stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in R.C. Marseille's zone, Alexander Grieco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Gascon came out of the goal and Alexander Grieco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry Gélis thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Thomas Gascon, a very annoying self made goal in the 53rd minute which led to 0-2. Anselmo Gabriele's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Thomas Gascon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Santoryu FC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Santoryu FC's Anselmo Gabriele looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th match minute, Santoryu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Giorgio to maneuver through the defense. Cyril Bec took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Camillo Marcantonio. Santoryu FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emiliano Baldassarre got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Santoryu FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Emiliano Baldassarre hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Bianco Silvagni got a free kick in the 75th minute. Camillo Marcantonio came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Gustave Icard. But to his dismay, Gustave Icard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 80 minutes into the match, Blaise Castera notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Santoryu FC's Camillo Marcantonio. Camillo Marcantonio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Dario Giorgio got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes, R.C. Marseille's Cyril Bec shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camillo Marcantonio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in R.C. Marseille reached it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santoryu FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
