The audience thought a goal was coming when Blaise Castera got free with Ferruccio Alfani in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Di Iorio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. BRAL VAL's Ferruccio Alfani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save BRAL VAL from getting a goal against them. R.C. Marseille's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cyril Bec in the 16th minute. The corner led R.C. Marseille's Cyril Bec to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferruccio Alfani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, BRAL VAL's goal looked a bit too open when Blaise Castera came free, but Ferruccio Alfani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of BRAL VAL booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustave Icard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Suchet's late challenge caught a BRAL VAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omar Suchet helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BRAL VAL booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Suchet didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, BRAL VAL's Ferruccio Alfani got control of the ball when Gustave Icard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferruccio Alfani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blaise Castera, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Omar Suchet hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Blaise Castera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ferruccio Alfani. Blaise Castera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blaise Castera made a kick off. If Blaise Castera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Filippini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Gascon having to interfere. Thomas Gascon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Mauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, BRAL VAL's Elia Buccella dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Attilio Mauro might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Gascon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attilio Mauro ran back to his position shaking his head. Thomas Gascon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 76th minute, Cesare Silvestre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferruccio Alfani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blaise Castera, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. R.C. Marseille's Thomas Gascon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Di Giulio in the 80th minute of play. Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moïse Chauveau to maneuver through the defense. BRAL VAL's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
