Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Monaco in the 9th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Francesco Colasante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ennio Bianco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferruccio Carafa having to interfere. The supporters of Glasgow Rangers FC booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Goffredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferruccio Carafa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Maldini in the 17th minute of play. Eraldo Monaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Goffredo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Francesco Colasante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Zollino in the 25th minute of the match. Ferruccio Carafa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Maldini's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Emanuele Di Rado kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A.C. Patagonia's Francesco Colasante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Zollino in the 30th minute of play. Ferruccio Carafa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arturo Maldini went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Ferdinando Di Santo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glasgow Rangers FC's protests and gave Ferdinando Di Santo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Ferdinando Di Santo got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 37 minutes, Arturo Maldini made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Glasgow Rangers FC's Ferruccio Carafa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eraldo Monaco was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Glasgow Rangers FC's Ferruccio Carafa got control of the ball when Alfredo De Cesaris tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patagonia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Colasante should have stopped the shot. Diego Cericola kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ferruccio Carafa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo De Cesaris in the 77th minute. Emanuele Di Rado hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes Glasgow Rangers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Francesco Goffredo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on A.C. Patagonia's corner Francesco Goffredo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferruccio Carafa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Comunardo Zollino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A.C. Patagonia's Francesco Goffredo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ferruccio Carafa but with some difficulty. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Arturo Maldini took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ferruccio Carafa to make any attempt to save it. In the 93rd match minute, Glasgow Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise De Leonardis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Glasgow Rangers FC's zone, Alfredo De Cesaris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferruccio Carafa came out of the goal and Alfredo De Cesaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. A.C. Patagonia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
