In the 13th minute of the match, Alex Vilarinho sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Zeferino Igrejas showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Terceirense F.C.'s Zarco Malheiro got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Campus Douro Academy got a corner. Terceirense F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Óscar Andrade ran over to the corner to take the kick. Campus Douro Academy's Óscar Andrade was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hamilton Gouveia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Hamilton Gouveia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Campus Douro Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Caiado to maneuver through the defense. Adélio Caiado charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adélio Caiado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frederico Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Terceirense F.C.'s corner Maurício Gueifão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zeferino Igrejas quite easily take care of the ball. In the 80th minute, Osvaldo Lucena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Caiado struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Hamilton Gouveia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campus Douro Academy.
