Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vasco Lamego got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Valadas's Manuel Malheiro got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Burni Zapico shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Soares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Valadas's Aprígio Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mateus Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Xabel Beloki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valadas. Valadas's Alexandre Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estefan Hernandez in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute Claudio Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Manuel Malheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Valadas booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanni Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Diaz in the 37th minute of play forced Valadas's goalkeeper Alexandre Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Tristão's late challenge caught a ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Tristão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute Claudio Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Estefan Hernandez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Valadas's Alexandre Soares. Alexandre Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Valadas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. With a little luck, Valadas's Alexandre Soares got control of the ball when Claudio Diaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Malheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Mateus Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateus Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudio Diazs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Alexandre Soares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexandre Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Lamego in the 81st minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xabel Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vigil Ruiz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Rafa Llorca was substituted for Claudio Diaz. The supporters of Valadas booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position.
