Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Manuel Fernandes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eurico Figueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Veiga's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Carlos Castilho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Castilho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Óscar Caldas during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Óscar Caldas kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Filipe Quinaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Inácio Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Carlos Gonçalves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eurico Figueira. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 16th minute, André Novais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Carlos Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Figueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Castilho took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inácio Leite. Inácio Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 26th minute, Carlos Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gremio Viana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Inácio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alcântara in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Castilho in the 33rd minute of play forced Viseu United's goalkeeper Inácio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Figueira having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Viseu United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Novais to maneuver through the defense. Eurico Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When André Salgueiro fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio Viana's protests and gave André Salgueiro a yellow card for diving instead. André Salgueiro hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Gonçalves to make the kick off. Inácio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alcântara in the 53rd minute of play. Inácio Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafim Sacadura went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Fernandes got free with Inácio Leite in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Inácio Leite made a huge save. Inácio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Castilho in the 76th minute of play forced Viseu United's goalkeeper Inácio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Gonçalves came free, but Eurico Figueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Viseu United booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Frois recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inácio Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Fernandes in the 89th minute. In the 91st match minute, Viseu United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Manuel Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inácio Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. When the final whistle sounded Gremio Viana left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Viseu United.
