After 13 played minutes DPD FC got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Pacheco. Serafim Torres's late challenge caught a Gremio Viana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafim Torres helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DPD FC's Serafim Torres got a free kick in the 14th minute. Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for DPD FC. Pedro Nóbrega yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 40 minutes into the game, Adélio Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Nóbrega. Adélio Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristides Santiago made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gremio Viana's Manuel Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Nóbrega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Serafim Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Espinosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz. But to his dismay, Filipe Quinaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Manuel Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Nóbrega having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Heitor Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Heitor Pacheco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. DPD FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 86th match minute, DPD FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Santiago to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 87th minute Gremio Viana's Filipe Quinaz took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Pedro Nóbrega and thus the score was 8-0. Pedro Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Fernandes in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Manuel Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Gremio Viana players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
