Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manuel Fernandes kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Quinaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eurico Figueira was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Vítor Sacramento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vítor Sacramento really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some careless play in the Gremio Viana defense, Vítor Sacramento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Figueira. The Gremio Viana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Figueira should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute Moisés Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Figueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gremio Viana's Manuel Fernandes in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ponte do Carro's goalie prevented a goal. Silvério Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Alípio Regalado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Fernandes in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Eurico Figueira got control of the ball when Vítor Sacramento tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Leonel Teles got a free kick in the 17th minute. Alípio Regalado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Adélio Neves got a free kick in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Fernandes came free, but Alípio Regalado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ponte do Carro's zone, Manuel Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alípio Regalado came out of the goal and Manuel Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Ponte do Carro were awarded a corner. Silvério Cardoso went to the cornerflag to take it. Ponte do Carro's Silvério Cardoso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eurico Figueira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Gremio Viana getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Adélio Neves hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moisés Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. When Moisés Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ponte do Carro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Duarte Caetano hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Filipe Quinaz, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Leandro Loureiro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute Vítor Sacramento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Figueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Zeferino Sacadura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeferino Sacadura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moisés Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eurico Figueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Manuel Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes in the game, Manuel Fernandes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alípio Regalado having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Manuel Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alípio Regalado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eurico Figueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Sacramento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eurico Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Vítor Sacramento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Manuel Fernandes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alípio Regalado, passed just outside the right post. Vítor Sacramento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Eurico Figueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Teles. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ponte do Carro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gremio Viana had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
