After 40 minutes of play Tirant lo Blanch's Gai Alavedra was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gai Alavedra hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Eriberto Segura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivón Barroso was the one to do the kick off. Eriberto Segura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Ivón Barroso put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Hamilton Poças.
