With his leg Júlio Lage managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Clube Esportivo Saudade's Eleodoro Cayuela fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 12th minute Hermínio Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Machado Nieto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Clube Esportivo Saudade defense, António Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Machado Nieto. The Clube Esportivo Saudade fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Machado Nieto should have stopped the shot. Avelino Soveral hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Eleodoro Cayuela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Lage was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Txomin Suarez charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Txomin Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ZEZOM TEAM booed when Clube Esportivo Saudade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txomin Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalkeeper Machado Nieto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eleodoro Cayuela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júlio Lage came out and tried to block the shot, but Eleodoro Cayuela slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Hermínio Luz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Machado Nieto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hermínio Luz struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Machado Nieto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ZEZOM TEAM. Avelino Soveral's late challenge caught a Clube Esportivo Saudade's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avelino Soveral helped the player get up and apologised. Avelino Soveral hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Clube Esportivo Saudade getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Paulin Canosa hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleodoro Cayuela was the one to do the kick off. Clube Esportivo Saudade's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Hermínio Luz scored to the left of an out of position Machado Nieto, making the score, 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Borges got free with Machado Nieto in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Caldas during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ZEZOM TEAM getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sandro Caldas hit a great ball. Júlio Lage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulin Canosa in the 69th minute of the match. António Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Machado Nieto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Pedro Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZEZOM TEAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Esportivo Saudade the free kick. Pedro Lopes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Eleodoro Cayuela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Lage. ZEZOM TEAM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eleodoro Cayuela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. ZEZOM TEAM succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Clube Esportivo Saudade had controlled the match.
