But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Maciel couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Maciel in the 13th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Cristián santillana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boca Juniors's Cristián santillana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusmão Leiria in the 15th minute of play. Eusébio Quintanilha lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card.
