Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Girona FC's Belisario Llorente started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valter Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arxel Pareja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pau Nas Canelas's Valter Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Pau Nas Canelas from getting a goal against them. After 15 minutes, Fabricio Palomar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girona FC and the Pau Nas Canelas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Alanzo Vera got a free kick in the 17th minute. Toni Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcino Guterres in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Maltez in the 21st minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Toni Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Fabricio Palomar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Girona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Maltez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to Girona FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Belisario Llorente hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Viana was the one to do the kick off. Toni Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute Mário Maltez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valter Leme came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Girona FC's Belisario Llorente. But to his dismay, Belisario Llorente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Valter Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arxel Pareja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes Girona FC got a freekick which was hit by Belisario Llorente. 67 minutes into the match, Girona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Souto came free, but Toni Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Viana got free with Toni Vera in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, Etxave Mondejar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match, Manuel Souto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Toni Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Girona FC's Toni Vera got control of the ball when Mário Maltez tried to sneak it across the goal line. António Guterres kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Arxel Pareja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Leme having to interfere. Alcino Guterres kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Pau Nas Canelas's Mário Maltez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Fabricio Palomar took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valter Leme. Valter Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. In the 95th minute, Girona FC's Hector-Luis Alfaro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hector-Luis Alfaro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Girona FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hector-Luis Alfaro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Girona FC! Pau Nas Canelas played a much better game than Girona FC and deserved their victory. The Girona FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
