Luís Noronha started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Maurício Peseiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Micael Torcato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Lamego in the 6th minute of the match. Micael Torcato made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Marco Varela sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to GD Almargense getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Adão Porto hit a great ball. Micael Torcato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Lamego in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Maurício Peseiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GD Almargense the free kick. Maurício Peseiro hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes, GD Almargense's Luís Casado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Egídio Loureiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GD Almargense reached it. Saúl Palma charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saúl Palma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Saúl Palma kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Maurício Peseiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Heitor Seixas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Luís Casado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Minho FC's Egídio Loureiro didn't even have to move. Egídio Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Carmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The GD Almargense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. GD Almargense's Julião Lobato was substituted for Leandro Calado. 78 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Varela came free, but Micael Torcato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Minho FC's Egídio Loureiro got control of the ball when Ramiro Pais tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adão Porto couldn't finish the play. Egídio Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Carmo in the 96th minute. Micael Torcato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
