Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Vilas Boas kicked off to start the match. Octávio Moita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vilas Boas in the 5th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Hugo Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Egídio Paixão got a free kick in the 16th minute. Ramiro Fernandes scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octávio Moita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Vilas Boas scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octávio Moita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Honorato Calado fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Braga's protests and gave Honorato Calado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Honorato Calado got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Maurício Peseiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Braga the free kick. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Maurício Peseiro hit a great ball. The SC Braga players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Minho FC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorato Calado made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Minho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Peseiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 57 minutes, Xavier Lamego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Lamego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caetano Coutinho hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ramiro Fernandess short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Octávio Moita to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Minho FC booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Paixão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durval Guterres hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. With splendid footwork João Vilas Boas arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-4 by the left pole in the game's 87th minute. After 91 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Paixão. Minho FC played a much better game than SC Braga and deserved their victory. The SC Braga players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
