Spectators: 176 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dário Zarco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Paulo Esparteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Belo's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Dário Zarco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delta FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of SC Braga booed when Delta FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gentil Vasques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Esparteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandrino Bessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When SC Braga's Honorato Calado in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Delta FS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Trindade to maneuver through the defense. Octávio Moita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Saldanha in the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Hélder Trindade got a free kick in the 34th minute. Delta FS's Nuno Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélder Trindade hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Nicolas Raposo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nicolas Raposo hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorato Calado to make the kick off. Patrício Saldanha came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Octávio Moita could save by the left post. Patrício Saldanha's late challenge caught a SC Braga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrício Saldanha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Delta FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrício Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Marques in the 58th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Octávio Moita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorato Calado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo Esparteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delta FS's Paulo Esparteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Calado in the 65th minute of play. Nicolas Raposo helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Delta FS got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Raposo. Hélder Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Octávio Moita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Zarco in the 76th minute of play. Gentil Vasques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Esparteiro having to make a save. Octávio Moita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Zarco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Paixão in the 93rd minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Paulo Esparteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
