Spectators: 177 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 41, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Belisario Llorente kicked off to start the match. Toni Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Marques in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Belisario Llorente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belisario Llorente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 minutes of play, Delta FS's Nuno Marques made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toni Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hector-Luis Alfaro during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Toni Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Toni Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrício Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delta FS's Paulo Esparteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belisario Llorente in the 24th minute of play. When Leo Dobale fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Girona FC's protests and gave Leo Dobale a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Delta FS booed when Girona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Dobale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Girona FC's Toni Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Marques in the 32nd minute of play. Paulo Esparteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belisario Llorente's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Girona FC were awarded a corner. Belisario Llorente went to the cornerflag to take it. Lucas Vilar tried in the game's 35th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Paulo Esparteiro. An annoying self made goal, 1-1. Patrício Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Miguel Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Girona FC's Hector-Luis Alfaro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hector-Luis Alfaro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Girona FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hector-Luis Alfaro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 52nd minute, one of Girona FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Girona FC. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Delta FS's Nicolas Raposo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Toni Vera. Toni Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Pestana in the 60th minute of play. When Lucas Vilar fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delta FS's protests and gave Lucas Vilar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Lucas Vilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Dobale kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Oliveira in the 75th minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Toni Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Girona FC's Toni Vera got control of the ball when Nicolas Raposo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toni Vera made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Patrício Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Girona FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Murilo Pestana scored to the left of an out of position Toni Vera, making the score, 1-3. The Girona FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Delta FS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
