With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arno Zonneveld in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miloš Sirnik saved Gremio FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Martien Crans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pannekoeken's supporters rose to their feet, but Martien Crans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miloš Sirnik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gremio FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Vincencij Leber hit a great ball. Rafael Lambers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miloš Sirnik having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Traa to maneuver through the defense. Pannekoeken's Martien Crans got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
